Bloodfin tetras eating neos

As the title said- my bloodfin tetras (not glass bloodfins, the little ones) just ate one of my adult cherry shrimp. I fed them today, and I’ve recently upped the amount of food they get because I was worried they’d turn on the shrimp if they got hungry. It couldn’t even fit in the fishes mouth, one guy was trying to hold onto it but it was too large while the other tetras tried to rip into it. When I noticed, the shrimp already had no legs/head. I mean Jesus, aren’t these supposed to be relatively peaceful fish? Anyone else experienced this?? I’ve put even more of their regular food into the container I use to parse it out.
Edit to add info- there are 7 bloodfins and 9 rummy nose tetras in my 20 gallon right now. There’s maybe 12-15 shrimp (I’m unsure if others have been eaten and they’re hard to count)

Any ideas? They feel squishy, not tough, and I can’t see any gills or pores nessecarily. They look very similar to marshmallows
