Benn doing SEO on a small e-commerce site for about 8 months. Backlinks are cleary my weak spot.
Tried a few things already. Manual outreach gave me maybe 3 links in 2 months, which is just not sustainable. Tested one marketplace, quality was all over the place.
What are you guys using that actually holds up?
Been handling SEO for a French e-commerce site for about six months. Technical side is clean, content too, but rankings just won't move. Looked at the top competitors and the gap is obvious, they have way more backlinks and decent ones at that.
Tried the "natural linkbuilding" route for a while. Guest posts, outreach, the whole thing. Super slow and honestly eats up hours for maybe two links a month. Also browsed a few marketplaces but it's hard to tell what's legit from what's going to tank the site with a penalty down the road.
One thing worth mentioning: ideally looking for a platform that works well for the French market, or at least one that has French publishers in its network. Most of what I find is very US/UK focused and the domain relevance just doesn't translate.
