Upgrades on my first road bike (Batavus Criterium)
This was the bike that got me into cycling and I decided to completly rebuild the frame. Learned a lot during the build. Now I run:
• Shimano 105 R7000 group/brakes; 11-30 casette
• Zrace RX2 52-36 crankset with Zrace BSA-Road BB
• CSC 60mm carbon wheels (R13 hub)
• BLB Lil quill stem with 38cm modern geometry handlebars (26mm) that i found on Ali
• Ryet 3D printed saddle
• Conti GP5000 tires with TPU tubes
I also found out that external cam quick release scewers that came out of the box with the wheelset where not sufficient for keeping the rear wheel centered in my horizontal dropouts. I updgraded to Shimano Ultegra internal cam scewers. It is a blast to ride
