Clutch is toast part II

I made a post a few weeks ago asking for advice about what I thought was a clutch issue. After removing the clutch I found it was stuck to the pressure plate. I had to soak it in some wd40 and pry it off with screwdriver. Anyone ever seen anything like this before?

Also once I got it off you can see how busted the clutch is. I’ve got a new one waiting to go on and an aluminum flywheel to go with it.

Clutch is toast…

A few weeks ago I changed the oil in my early 85 took it for a drive around town and all was welll. A couple weeks pass and I go to hop in when I see a huge puddle of oil under the car. I thought I was stupid and didn’t tighten something all the way down so I gave it another oil change. Again I hop in to take it around town but this time she won’t go into gear while the car is running. It goes into gear fine while turned off but then is engauged as soon as I crank the car with the clutch pedal pushed down.

I know this is clutch failure, but my question is why all the oil? That doesn’t make sense to me. Was the oil unrelated and I goofed up the oil change or the only thing I can think is a rear main seal leak somehow causing the clutch to fail. It’s been a few days from oil change #2 and still no oil under the car. I think I might just be dumb.

Anyone have any idea why this happened and any recommendations on a new clutch and anything else I should replace while I’m in there.

Cheers
