Looking for an afordable fall detection device for my elderly mother who fell last week and will be coming home from hospital soon. She had one years ago and didn't like it because they tried to talk to her and shes very hard of hearing. My smart watch has fall detection which seems like the cheaper way to go? Anyone used one with elderly or have other suggestions?

I've gone through several pair of lone peaks, mostly hiking. I used to run years ago and wore Saucony. Started back running but nothing long. Recently got into Canicross (dog,human crossfit/running) and need a new pair of shoes. Currently running in lone peak 8. Anyone tried any other of the Altras and been happy. Should I just stick with the 8s (also cheaper) or go with 9s or something else they have?
