Advice + Career Guidance?

Hey, to give a little background im 20 and moved out of home and cut contact with my family when i was 18. After about a year i ended up loosing my job and ended up homeless. It took a long time but im slowly getting back on my feet mentally and physically and im now in a place where i can start thinking about a career long term again. In the duration i was homeless i was also attending college full time and struggled to apply myself due to my living circumstances and mental health struggles, and dont know if it’s really the right option for me at the moment. I currently live in San Jose, California.

I learned about wastewater + water treatment a couple days ago and i’m really interested in it. On this reddit I’m getting some mixed information on whether or not i can get into a trainee position with zero experience or not and how hard it’ll be to get my foot in the door. There were a handful of people who did get a position with a retail background like myself though. I wanted to know if you guys being experienced in the field have any advice and could answer a couple questions?

Is it realistic for me to get in with zero experience?

What should I do to position myself to be a better candidate for a trainee position?

What kind of person is needed to work in this field/Who would not work well in this line of work.

Are there any other career paths i should look into?

Do you have any advice for someone like me?

What can i do to set myself up for success?

How are the schedules?

Is this something that i can sustainably do for the rest of my life?

Thank you in advance if you’re able to help me out at all and if you have any other advice or guidance im open ears.

I’ve struggled with being overweight my entire life, in highschool i lost maybe 50lbs over summer after a friend got me into the gym and i hopped on keto.. flashfoward a couple years i end up gaining 100lbs and even bigger than i was before. The same friend who got me into the gym gained some of the weight back but he recently convinced me to try out reta. Dude. The first 2 weeks i felt nothing. My 3rd week i did a 2mg injection and it actually started working. I feel fucking amazing, my energy levels are insanely good. Meals i wouldve eaten and stoll be hungry after, im only eating half the portion size. The food noise ive had my entire life has just went silent and its fucking crazy i didnt know how much it was ruining my life but it feels so fucking good not having that conversation in my head. I would literally think for hours about what to eat constantly. This is insane. (Starting weight 265lbs 5’8” M)

I'm 20, currently homeless and living in my car after losing my job about a year ago. I've recently gotten out of a major depressive hump and have been slowly getting my shit back together, finally landed a full time job again and have gotten back into the gym (gained about 70lbs in the last year). Unfortunately my car has been having issues, i have a mis-firing engine but I'm worried it might be worse. Right now I'm trying to move my car as little as possible, ill have the money to diagnose my car properly and potentially fix it. I kind of ignored my check engine light for longer than i should've. Worse case scenario if i did major damage to my engine does anyone know where i can buy a cheap used car? I'll have maybe 3k saved in the next 2 months.

Im 20 been living in my car for about 8 months after losing my job. Finally getting over this depressive lump and getting my shit back together. I landed a full time job but its 10 miles away from where i usually park because the gym location i really like is there. This wouldn’t really be a problem but the issue is i believe my car is breaking down its had a check engine light for awhile and i thought it was just cause my front axel was going bad as i was told by my last mechanic. But now i have a feeling its my transmission because my car has been lightly trembling and now very rarely itll take a second to go from 50-65 itll like not speed up until i hit 4000 rpm. feels like life loves kickimg me while im down lol.

anyways, i decided to move where i stay to closer to where i work until i can fix it or buy a new car. Does anyone have any advice on where to look to park for like 3 months with moving my car minimally? The area my work is at is significantly higher income so im sort of worried lol.
