Completely infatuated with this little visitor and that spotted back! The downies tend to choose my bigger feeder, so I’m especially happy to have caught this moment. ❤️

This mother cardinal rolled up with an absolute UNIT of a caterpillar/worm/no clue because I cannot stand to look at it closely for too long… and her juvenile son right behind her, behaving as usual: screeching at her and demanding to be fed. This is basically their relationship. He follows. He screams. She provides.

Anyway...nature is just absolutely insane. And motherhood is universal lol

One of this year's baby Northern Cardinals finally worked up the courage to start visiting our Bird Buddy this week. ❤️ It's been so much fun watching this little one figure things out.

The first few visits were very cautious, but now she is getting a bit braver each day. You can still see those adorable juvenile features, and it's amazing how quickly they're growing.
