A month later, they're back at it again

Already posted one month ago : First nest

They had laid two eggs, and one hatched into a baby dove

I thought it was weird that the battery wasn’t charging during the day.

Now what?

Squirrel Attack!

This morning a squirrel attacked. The back flap WAS closed. There was (good) seed available, BUT squirrel was out for blood.

Has anyone had any success with a DIY fix for this? Is it possible to disassemble the roof without killing it?

Is a replacement even available??

Handsome fellow and his companion

Love our painted buntings. The male is obviously a stunner but we've come to appreciate the lime green and orange belly of the female

Has anybody tried the squirrel away bird food?

I saw this on social media and was wondering if anybody has tried it and what the results are.

Although I have been putting out separate food for the squirrels away from the feeder, they are determined to empty it every single day. And the birds aren't getting hardly any of it. Any advice?

These photos were taken at essentially the same time. Feeders are about 30 feet apart. No difference in light, trees, etc. Guess which are BB1 vs new BB2

Less postcards being sent to me.

I've noticed within the last 3 or 4 weeks that I'm getting less postcards than what I used to, but I still have the same amount of traffic with birds. I'm set on frenzy but still I only get about two postcards a day when I used to get at least six or seven. Is anybody else having this problem? I've gone to my live stream and have seen birds on the feeder but not a postcard taken.
