I never wear a dress but I want to do a girly look for my 8 year wedding anniversary at the end of the month. I am in love with this print but I feel like the dress itself falls weird on me. Would it look better if I removed this weird textured top part and made the straps a little longer? Am I just being weird about it and it looks fine?
Edit: yall are the best. I think I just have some dysmorphia going on because I wear dresses once a year at most and I usually wear the same exact shape of A line cocktail length thing. So this shape is weird for me. I’m gonna get it styled right! Or tear it up and sew it into something else.
I made this outfit from a combination of a bed sheet, some really wide cotton ribbon I sewed together in strips and a little bit of quilting cotton. Top is made with the matchymatchysewingclub peplum tank and the pants are their weekend chore pants.
I’ve been feeling not as creative recently. I think it’s just the heat idk. I love making and wearing pants. So I really hope fall can come soon lmao.

The ring on the left I’ve worn for maybe 12-15 years and the one on the right for 8 years. They both broke like this in the last year. I am pretty hard on my hands for sure. I guess I’m mostly wondering if these could be fixed.

I have been using a tiny laser pecker laser for years to engrave things. It’s been fun, but obviously very limiting and I wanted to be able to cut things as well.
I got the M2 a week ago and started creating immediately. I am so excited by all of the things I can do. It truly feels like my imagination is the limit.
I can’t wait to start designing my own projects. I work at a farmer’s market and the applications for merch and for things to help me around my booth feel immense!
Y’all I used to engrave these hand made spatulas one at a time lol. It would take my little tiny laser about 40 mins each. Now I can do like 8 of them at once in about 45 mins with more engraving.
I feel like a kid again!!
This is my first time here and this place is beyond bizarre to me. It’s like 90% massive architectural stairs and enormous hallways with nothing in them.
They sell no food aside from tiny bags of popcorn which they probably legally have to sell to on terms of the liquor license or something.
There are staff EVERYWHERE. So much staff. Everything is weirdly sterile. There’s literally a man walking around with a flash light pointing out spots on the floor for another man to hit up with a broom. All of the seats downstairs are uncomfortable folding chairs.
For the immense stairs and hallways the venue itself is really small. Maybe half the size of the ryman. Small enough there are not screens for close ups of the band bc they’re pretty much right there.
Am I just old and picky now or what lol. This place just has goofy vibes to me.

I wanna be comfortable so I’m going to wear my cut off Dolly shirt and the pants I made from 70s percale sheets. My hope is someone will see my pants and be like woah I used to have those sheets 😂

I haven’t sewn in two weeks because I was cleaning my craft room. I’m also trying to decide if I want to grow my hair out or shave it off again. It’s been deliriously hot in middle Tennessee this last few weeks. I wish I could wear my cute wigs but it’s too hot. It’s been so tragically hot that I haven’t even been wearing the clothes I’ve made myself. I just want to wear as little as possible, honestly. Between global warming and perimenopause, being hot is going to become my joker origin story.
I thrifted this bag in Tennessee for $4. I can’t really find any information about it, but the tag says Santa Barbara so I thought someone may know of the designer. It’s so cute and feels special and possibly handmade.
I made this set yesterday and it’s probably my favorite thing I’ve ever made. Material was a nice dreamy cotton that is smooth and pressed and sewed like a dream. The pants are the kythira wide leg beach pants from Mood. The top is a Frankenstein of part of the pattern couture cross back top and the MMSC peplum top.
I just started making clothes in January and I am so proud of how far I’ve come.
It IS 110°F here today though.

I thrifted this for $10 and I wanted to use it to dispense something but the size is really small. Now I’m wondering if I can make it into a terrarium. The glass ball itself doesn’t really come off, looks glued on, but I could probably get it off if I need to. I am able to get to my hand into the globe. I have never made a terrarium before and I would love some advice!
Thrifted this skirt yesterday because it felt expensive. I found out that the company that made it only sells in the UK and this was part of their 2022 fall collection. Don’t know how it ended up in semi rural TN, but I used the Matchy Matchy Sewing Club peplum tank pattern to turn it into a shirt.
