Hey everyone.

I have a 2013 TSI Golf and just found out the turbo and its assembly needs replacing which will cost $6.5k (AUD) which is roughly half the cost of what I paid to buy the car 2nd hand. Currently has 93,000k on the spedo.

As someone who knows little about cars, is it actually worth replacing, or do I cut my losses and look to buy another car? How urgently does it need replacing? As a broke uni student I’m feeling lost and stressed so any help is much appreciated.

Just wondering if there are any current or former Masters of OT students that could give some insight into the amount of hours/days needed to spend in person on campus. I am looking to see if it’s realistic to commute from Wollongong. TIA :)
