Just another new archer

I picked up a samix sage for under a $100 new with 30# limbs. I know everyone says to start lower but I go to the gym daily, pulling and holding it back takes minimal effort even after an hour. I still plan to hit the cable machines and work more on my back muscles using the same range of motion I would drawing back my bow just for more time under tension. I Went down to the local archery shop, they got me all squared up, measured my draw length and sold me some arrows for target practice. Even gave me a 20 minute run down on form and how to shoot it. Watching me they said I’ll be fine with what I have.

I 3D printed some wall mounts for it so nothing gets messed up

I’m honestly Not looking to be competitive or to go hunting or any of that. Just call it an ADHD purchase wanting a recurve bow because I have seen enough survival shows that I have convinced myself I could do what they do with a bow.

Shop had my wife snap a quick photo of me holding it in this position so i remember where to hold and arm position. I’m sure there is improvements to be made but it’s a good starting point, let’s see how my grouping looks after a month or so at 15-20 yards
