Hello fellow hearthians! This is not a sponsored post, but I recently played a free demo for a game called Helix: Descent N Ascent on Steam that gave me the following OW vibes:

*cryptic lore being trickle-fed to you as you explore the world

*learning new things that you can apply to places you've already been

*the entire world (at least, as much of it as you can explore in the demo) feels meaningfully connected. I have no idea what the story will be like, but the game mechanics make the whole thing feel very cohesive and put together

*an "ah-ha!" moment where I suddenly noticed the game was telling me something in plain sight, and once I saw and understood it, navigating the world got easier

It doesn't seem to me like this game has much attention, but I enjoyed the demo so much and it reminded me so much of OW that I need other people to see and wishlist it so the devs know they have something really cool on their hands. Also, because it's just a fantastic gaming experience.

The demo took me about 2.5 hours to complete, but I play games pretty slowly, and most reviewers have an hour or less of playtime. I haven't beat Tunic yet, so no spoilers please, but it reminded me a lot of what I've played of that game, too.

Overall, I think it's a very unique, interesting and fun game that deserves more attention. I wanted to share because I haven't seen anyone else talking about this game on this sub and I really do think it will resonate with a lot of OW fans. I highly recommend checking it out! ::)
