Advice for a newbie builder?
I’m in the midst of doing my first build from a Harley Benton kit. I’ve completed the rounds of painting on the body, but I have a question that I’m hoping some of you DIYers might help me with…
For my first build out of the gate I chose a Les Paul model. Probably not the best first guitar out of the gate due to the expertise needed to avoid getting paint (likely multiple coats) on the white trim around the body.
Do any of you have suggestions as to how to clean up these areas? Overall I’m pretty happy with the paint, but I know that every time I pick it up to play it, I’ll see nothing but the drips on the white trim.
Maybe an Exacto knife? Other sharp knife? Carefully administered nail polish remover?
Thanks in advance…
