Beech Leaf Disease in seedlings?

I've got a large copper beech we've been treating for beech leaf disease. Today I noticed several seedlings under the canopy that must have sprouted just this year. I've transplanted a few to see what they'll do. I'm wondering if they're likely to already have bld. From what I understand it's thrips that attack the buds before they leaf out, so my assumption is that it would be disease free unless it spreads pretty quickly after sprouting. Any thoughts?

Wild Turkey Egg in Compost??

I just found what I'm pretty sure is a wild turkey egg in my compost pile. It's cool to the touch, so I'm assuming it won't hatch into anything, right? I'd try to incubate it otherwise.

Do you guys think a compost pile is somewhere a turkey would lay an egg, or did some other animal try and stash it? I'm pretty sure it wasn't on the surface, I didn't see it till I dumped the shovelful in my bucket.

I have pictures, but don't see a way to post them, sorry. The egg matches pictures of turkey eggs. White, speckled brown, with a pointy end, slightly larger than typical chicken egg.

So I've got some understanding of co-ops (like WinCo, god I miss that store), but I'm no expert. Would this proposed purchase of Spirit Airlines be considered a co-op? I wanna say it is. . . but then are credit unions and such also co-ops? I guess I'm just unsure if there are more specific terms.

I like the idea of being able to point to more and more examples like this (fingers crossed it succeeds), when talking with people about alternatives.
