Cherish your life and the games you love the most.
I don't know where to vent out or make a rant to begin with. English was not my first language so please bear with me. I'm currently at a bus on my way home despite having to find out the news that I'm terminally ill. It was cancer. It was the last thing that I would've expect since there was literally no symptoms at all. I've been feeling complete or satisfied while balancing my work life with my gaming life considering my shift is from early morning to late hour shift. I'm 23 years of age and I don't have a family yet other than my relatives living outside the country. I have some friends of course but we all know that each has its own responsibility to begin with.
Yes, gaming was the only "therapy" that I have coming from a long hour shift. I remember the first console that I've ever bought when I started working, it was the Switch Lite. I guess the portability was a major plus to me since I can bring my switch at work and play some mario or pokemon games. Not until I've recently got my hands on the Steam Deck last five months ago. It was my first handheld pc and boy it completely changed my life. It was my buddy to go with. Which later became my only game console up to this point.
Having to receive the news was just devastating. The countries I wish to travel to, the games that I still wish to play, the things that I haven't done or my "bucket list" if that's still a thing haha. But unfortunately the line is getting thin.. on positive note, I got the chance to play the games that I used to watch streamers play on youtube. Best days were the days you get to play the games that you used to watch them play with.
I've been in this group for far too long. Been a silent reader since then but figured I don't know where to rant at this point. Learned a lot because of this group, not just a gamer but as an individual in particular. Not to mention the games that were "unintentionally" recommended just by reading some threads haha. Must I say that this is probably one of the best community I've joined and I've had.
So please cherish each and every games while you still can. When I was a kid, I wanted to play each and every games as I can. Unfortunately adulting strikes at you and gets most of your time haha. Don't get me wrong, I am positive despite the state that I am currently at. Life is a blessing and must be cherished in every way as possible.
