Hey! Thought I'd throw my fic in here in case it's someone's thing.

It's a Wild West AU set in a Red Dead Redemption-style world. Caitlyn is a surgeon/doctor who has spent years building a quiet life in a tiny town. Vi is one of the territory's most wanted outlaws. After Vi ends up on Caitlyn's operating table with a bullet in her shoulder, one decision snowballs into both of them becoming fugitives.

I've tried to keep the medicine as historically accurate as I can, so there's a lot of actual 1890s medical practice, surgery, and frontier survival woven into the story.

One thing I really wanted to get right was Caitlyn's character. She's still compassionate, but she's also incredibly competent, stubborn, and willing to make hard choices when it matters. As the story goes on, she surprises Vi just as much as Vi surprises her.

The romance is a slow burn built on spending time together, teasing each other, learning to trust each other, and eventually falling in love. There is explicit smut later on, but it's very much earned by the relationship.

If you're looking for a character-focused CaitVi story with plenty of banter, horses, wilderness, outlaw drama, and two women who slowly become each other's home, I'd love for you to give it a look.

Chapter 4 of my Western AU is up!

I just dropped the latest chapter of my Western CaitVi fic, and honestly, I’m having such a blast writing these two.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s a gritty Western where Caitlyn - a surgeon / doctor - is thrust into the frontier with nothing but a $6,000 bounty (Vi) as her lifeline. It’s been an absolute rollercoaster building their dynamic: Caitlyn is all steady, clinical logic, while Vi is pure chaos and "shoot first, ask questions later."

We’ve officially hit the point where they end up in the only hotel room in town with only one bed, and the tension is getting real.

A lot of the texture in this story comes from my time playing on RedM (a Red Dead Redemption 2 roleplay mod). I spent a year living as both doctor and outlaw characters in that immersive, live setting, and I’ve tried to pour all those organic interactions and sensory time appropriate details into this fic. If you like a slow-burn, banter,a very layerd plot, and characters that actually feel like real people, I’d love for you to give it a look.

We’re officially into the part of the story where things start to get really good (just my humble opinion) - and I’m already excited for the next update because Chapter 5 is my absolute favorite

Introducing Outlaw Vi and Doctor Caitlyn in: "Wanted Dead or in Love" (Chapter 3 just posted! Overall Fic rating: Explicit)

Hey everyone!

I just posted Chapter 3 of my CaitVi Wild West AU, Wanted Dead or in Love, and I really wanted to share it with the Vi sub because writing Vi’s voice in a rugged, gritty Western setting has been an absolute blast.

If you like a massive contrast in dynamics, this fic is basically "unstoppable, chaotic force meets immovable, highly clinical object."

We have Vi as a heavily wanted outlaw with a massive bounty on her head, completely out of her depth trying to deal with a brilliant, frontier doctor (Caitlyn) who can absolutely outshoot her but is entirely too stubborn to admit she’s letting her guard down.

What to expect from the fic overall:

A Good Slow Burn: It starts with a half-dead outlaw crashing into a quiet clinic, and builds up through intense physical proximity, shared secrets, and heavy tension.
Gritty & Grounded Realism: I used to roleplay on RedM. It is basically a Red Dead Redemption 2 roleplay mod, think GTA RP but cowboys, where people build out original characters and just live as them, and so much of what I write is deeply inspired by the year I spent playing both doctor and outlaw characters in a highly immersive, live setting. Because of that, expect lots of focus on the real sensory details, many organic and realistic interactions.
Fic Rating: Just a heads up: the actual fic on AO3 is rated Explicit for future chapters! They are going to fight for every single inch of skin through all that heavy gear.

Chapter 3 (Open Accounts) just went live today, and things are officially starting to escalate as the outside world catches up to them. I'm already working on the last couple of chapters, so I intend on uploading chapters twice a week.

It's a Wild West AU (taking place in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 but otherwise no crossover), slow burn with eventual smut.

Vi is as smug as ever and she's a hot outlaw on the run, Cait is the local doctor tending to her injuries.

She takes Vi in to hide her from the law as she heals and we get a lot of domestic CaitVi trying to hide their feelings for each other.

But folks are going to come looking for Vi eventually.

I'm a bit of a geek in regards to medicine at the turn of the century and I might have yapped on a bit too much about it. Oops.

I wrote this fic as an anniversary gift to my butch who gave me a writing prompt for some smut about us. I was ovulating and sort of got carried away with it to a point where it would have been too cringe and narcissistic to keep it a self insert. So now it's a CaitVi fic and it fits them just as well.

Anyways happy anniversary to the love of my life and happy pride to me because how in the world did I pull her?
