My poor baby having an epileptical attack

Yesterday evening my cat Rover (2y, m) came home soaking wet from the pouring rain. While patting him dry he suddenly fell down screaming and spasming. This lasted about 3 minutes before he passed out. We hurried him to the vet and he came by in the car. His vitals were checked and everything seems okay. No signs of poisoning. This is the first time this happened. Vet says it can either be a one-off with no known explanation or a recurring event and then more research is neccesary. I guess we just have to wait 😭

He was extremely lethargic, groggy and disorientated after and slept a lot. I read that there’s a chance of more attacks shortly after so we’ve been monitoring him for 24 hours now and he seems fine again. Eats, plays with my other 2 cats, pooped normally.

I’m relieved but the whole experience was so sad, scary and horrifying and i don’t’ want to leave him alone. How do i know when it’s safe to do so? I have to go to work tomorrow but managed to get a sitter for most of the hours. But she has no car so I’m still a little worried.

Meet my Ronja

She is the cat that made me get two more 🥰 our little modelchild: smart, so cuddly, gentle and patient with all the little kids in our neighbourhood. She is a hoarder of socks and plushies and loves playing fetch. She is a torbie right?
