Skills to focus on

I’m just about to do my last consolidation jump, from then on I’m going to attempt to be very disciplined in my approach so that I can gain as much skill in the air as possible.

What do experienced people think are the best things to focus on? What would you do different if you went back to where I am now?

I’m probably going to go it alone for a while, to build up control and some skill, then focus on coaching and possibly tunnel over the winter. My instructor can coach me and get me 35 minutes for £450. This seems like a pretty decent price for how much I could learn.

Any feedback welcome.

Thoughts on hose usage?

I don’t want to seem like the prick here, but there’s a guy near where I live that uses his sprinkler every day. He leaves it on for hours and it’s just for his grass. Is this okay? I know that he doesn’t have a blue badge or any other exemption, he’s just blatantly flouting the rules.

Anyone got any advice? Or do I just do nothing?

Looking for ice for hospital patient

My friend is searching for ice for his very sick stepdad. He’s currently in the n&n. Anyone know anywhere that has some in stock? We are currently driving around everywhere.

Need an EICR for EV charging application - electrician recommendations?

I'm applying for an on-street EV charging connection and one of the requirements is an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) for my property.

Can anyone recommend a reliable electrician in Norwich or the surrounding area who can carry this out? Cheap would obviously be good, but thorough is most important, just someone trustworthy who does a good job and won't charge silly money.

We would also be using them for the full installation of the EVE setup if they are up for it, once the application has gone through with the council.

If you've had an EICR done recently, I'd be interested to know roughly what you paid as well.

Thanks.

Thorpe Plant Centre - Reform

Really sad to get to our favourite garden centre today only to see hundreds of St George flags. We’ve been buying from this company for a very long time, hundreds of pounds every year.

I did wonder whether this was linked to the upcoming football World Cup, so I did a little digging on Facebook. The owner’s open account is littered with flags and right wing nonsense.

I am gutted! This is such a nice garden centre… it’s independent, nature focussed and they almost always have everything I need. But now I think about it they rarely stock peat free compost, so they aren’t really that nature focussed anyway.

I don’t know any others that are this good. We do use mousehold garden centre, which is pretty lovely. But does anyone have any other recommendations of places that don’t hang flags all over their workplace to make people feel unwelcome?

We will never be buying from this company again.
