Hygienist hurt my teeth with a vacuum tube?

So for starters I'm not sure if any serious damage was done but I went in for a cleaning today and instead of the usual little rubber tube for getting the water up she was using something more like a vacuum cleaner. After working for a little bit she put it a little far in my mouth and told me to close my lips. The moment I did it created an extreme suction and smashed all my front teeth into it extremely hard and clamped them in. It hurt really bad and I had to wrench my mouth from it. She seemed surprised that it caused me discomfort. I have a lot of work on my front teeth and I'm really terrified she could have hurt my fillings or something.
Should I be this concerned and did she do something wrong? Thanks.
