My Little Collection
I’m always on the lookout for that occasional rare piece that someone doesn’t even know they have but, I do love my little collection. It makes a great nightlight.

Found at a local antique store. I did a google image search and see a lot of similar ones. Can someone help me identify the first word on the label? I can read “RO(something)ALL EMBALMING FLUID CO. GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN.”
I also added a picture of the uranium glass pieces I found today because they make me happy and some of them are probably vintage or close to it.
I want to completely change it because I think it would be a fun project. Remove the finish, change the hardware and… dare I say paint it? I did a google image search and found several for $0-$50. It doesn’t look at all valuable with the stenciled on gold flowers but, figured I’d get your opinions before tearing it apart.
The sticker on it says Colby’s. I don’t k ow anything else about it but, I love it.
Just saw this hutch at a restore and fell in love. I can’t decide if I should buy it or not! Do I have any use for it? No. I already have one. Do I have any clue where I would put it? Also, no… but it’s calling to me and I love freshening up pieces like this. The stamp inside one of the drawers says “St. Johns Inc. Cadillac Mich.”
Edit: I’m adding pictures in the comments of a couple other pretty things I saw and love and also do not need lol
I found this chair at a thrift store. The Ford & Johnson Co. Chicago, IL. sticker is pictured. I tried doing a general google search but didn’t come up with much helpful info. Any ideas on age?
This little hutch (I don’t know what else to call it) was left to my mom when her parents passed. She doesn’t know anything about it other than she thinks it belonged to her great aunt at one time. She said, “it’s just always been around”. I’m just curious what this community of vintage furniture lovers can tell me about it. Measurements are W40.75” X H73” X D12.5” if that’s helpful.
Found this in a friend’s barn and would like to fix it up for him. If anyone has any tips, YouTube links, etc. for advice on freshening this up, it would be so helpful.
The last photo has no tags or stamps on it so I have no details about it, other than the signature says “BRiAN”. It’s in about the same shape as the Brittini painting. Has anyone seen this painting before?
Found in a friend’s barn. I’m going to try to fix it up for him. I think it could be so pretty again! From what I’ve seen online it’s from the 1970s. Also, found a little magazine table (last picture) that just looked fun to freshen up with a sand and stain. No tags or stamps so I don’t know anything about it, but it reminds me of every grandparent from the 80s.
I found this old bentwood chair in family stuff recently. There are no markings on it so I’m guessing it isn’t Thonet. Structurally it’s solid. Looking for tips on what you would and wouldn’t do to it. It’s my first project so any insight is helpful. I’m going to replace the cane webbing but other than that I’m not sure if I should do much else besides clean it up.
