I'm sick of colorism among POC

Colorism is a consistent issue everywhere, but I'm so tired of experiencing it among fellow POC. My whole life I've been dark enough that I experience racism (people often think I'm Hispanic) but not dark enough to pass as 'black.' One of my own family members told me that I'm not brown recently even though I have never ever once in my life been white passing.

Ive never really 'fit in' anywhere, especially because I was raised in a majority white area. I didn't even know what Juneteenth was until I moved to the city and my friends of color explained it to me.

I'm just so tired of people especially, my family and other POC making comments about how I'm not actually POC. I FUCKING AM.
