A super fun puzzle

OK, ladies and gentlemen to give you the rundown of this call house was finished in 2025, home has 18 supply runs and has sufficient return air.

During my arrival, the system was overcharged.

Once I got the system charged properly and the airflow settings to the correct speed this is what followed.

The house faces north and south so they don’t receive a lot of direct sunlight, beaming in through the windows.

Everything in this house screams a 2 1/2 ton system but at this point considering the humidity in the home is over 60% along with the house not cooling properly. I’m struggling to see any other answer than installing a three or 3 1/half ton variable speed system to meet the demand of the house even though the house is only 1500 ft.².

If anyone else has any other great ideas, I would appreciate them, but I am fresh out at this point

Customer does not have any manual dampers in the house and all supply and returns are free and not blocked

This new construction build was also done completely in hard ducting, and there is no flex.

I posted the original airflow readings along with the post readings after the adjustments were made.

Why is putting a manufacturing date on equipment so hard?

I know that most furnaces nowadays have a manufacturing date on the system, but why is it so difficult to just add a date of manufacture to heating and cooling systems?

Why do we have to look up some cryptic messaging code sometimes with the letters and numbers so just figure out when a unit was made?

Mostly a rant but at the same token if there’s any manufacturers or people that work for manufacturers, what would the additional cost for six ink letters actually be lol.

Supply house of charge would probably be an extra $100 on a unit because it tells you when it was built.🤣

Leaky Lennox coils

I have a question and this isn’t me ragging on Lennox cause I do genuinely think they make extremely quality equipment that also looks quite nice but since September of last year I have gone and done 12 warranty services on Lennox coils ranging from 2015 to as recent as 2024 my first six calls of the AC season this year four of them have been with Lennox units that are completely dry on refrigerant due to leaks out of the evaporator coil and one of them out of the condenser coil.

So my question is there any information from any Lennox dealers on what Lennox is doing about this or if there is a genuine manufacturing problem that they just aren’t addressing.
