Sold my 5090 and got a 9070 XT

Got a 5090 last year at msrp. Played with it. It’s great. Had grand visions of doing AI stuff at home. Became disinterested. Realized most the games I play I don’t need it, nor really does anyone.

Sold the 5090 for $3,800 today. Nice. Bought the XFX Mercury 9070xt for $750. Almost bought a 3080 (5080) but with tax and shipping, it was going to end up being close to $2k.

Still have a 4k monitor, but will be fine for what I’m doing. I’m basically relegated to playing BF6 and Helldivers with my homies who I’ve been playing CoD and battlefield with since early 2000s.

Only thing I don’t have is a connector for the new card to my PSU. I can’t find my bag of extra psu cables for the life of me. My PSU used a dedicated 12v power cord (or whatever it’s called) for the 5090.

Can I just use any one off Amazon or should I get a thermal take cord for my thermal take psu?

Edit. It was $835 or something but had a gift card.

New toy Glide Micro Skiff

It’s big. More inflatable pontoon skiff than a sup. 500lbs weight limit. Comes with a transom to bolt on. I have a 30lbs thrust min kota and a humminbird helix 8 from an old jon boat.

Big enough to take me and my son out on on lady bird lake and the no-wake zones on lake Austin. Super pumped.

Recommend some BFS baits for Eagle River Co trout

Going on a guys trip next month and will be the only person not fly fishing. First time fishing river trout.

Any suggestions on baits? I have some Megabass baits like the karashi, both griffons, baby pop x.

Thinking a big type hard bait as well like the siglet.

Any other suggestions? Doesn’t need to be MB, but a local store carries most of their line up.

Swimbait Rod with occasional saltwater use

looking for recommendations on a swimbait casting rod that can do double duty. Primary use is bass fishing on central texas lakes throwing 3-6” swimbaits paired with the new calcutta conquest dc. Secondary use is about 4 multi-day trips per year to the Texas coast.

I’d prefer not to buy two separate rods. I have a saltwater spinning setup, and used my curado dc earlier this year while wading and it did fine, but not keen on using that much anymore on the coast.

I’ve been recommended Shimano’s Outlier or Glorious rods. Glorious would be on the higher end of my budget, and happy to save some $$ on the rod. thanks
