i have a question

so i believe i couldnt find the answer via google but someone here might help

so i got some chipping liquid because i couldnt do the chipping with a brush and i believed a wettish toothpick could help but there is a tinny issue, i need a base layer of paint for it to work as intended but i brush paint and every layer makes the panel lines stand out less and since im building tamiyas harrier frs.1 kit they arent that visible and another issue is i would need to paint over areas more to make the primer less visible, also the brush strokes would be an issue i believe tho im planning to use paint retarder for this kit

is there a way i can avoid those issues? has anyone tried a similar thing? please tell me

Tamiya F4D-1 1/72 What am i lacking?

so i have started doing scale models a while ago (around 4-5 months) and i believe i have gotten a lot better but still, i cant seem to get them to look good, maybe it is that i lack patience or something else but i believe seasoned modelers could help me get better end results, i sadly do not have access to an airbrush.

EDIT: i will still add some weathering behind guns and exhaust and will glue the payload when the oil wash is dry
