My US 250 and SVRy 50th Model: Stumper Valley Railway Caboose #3
Built sometime in the 1910s, Stumper Valley Railway Caboose #3 was a narrow-gauge caboose that ran in Eastern OR for about 30 years till it was sold to the White Pass to be used by the US Army during WW2 where at the war's end the Caboose was sold to be used as a Bunk House in AK. It sat for 40-ish years before heading back to OR, where the Stumper Valley Railroad restored it and runs it today.
This started as a passion project which slowly developed into a US 250 model. A copy of this very Caboose is on display at the Sumpter Valley Railroad, and if you go find instructions for it online, all proceeds will be donated to the continued preservation of the railroad.
Happy US 250 and SVRy 50th!!!
