Moving to SF, neighborhood audit
Hey all, I recently just got a job in SF and will be moving towards there or maybe a neighboring area depending on rent. Was hoping to get an idea of which neighborhood might fit my needs best.
Me:
- 28M single (looking for a GF), this is somewhat important 😅
- im pretty active and want to keep it that way (gym, boxing, biking, pickleball, basketball, ultimate frisbee)
- I try to walk every day or every other day so a nice walking route would be great
- I’ll actually be driving up to SF with my car and stuff so would ideally like a garage or safe parking access
- not a huge nightclub guy, but not opposed
- like board games, gaming, comedy, more chill type hobbies
- want to build my social circle through repeat interactions either with activities, local food / cafes, etc basically I don’t have golden retriever energy and confidence but find I can connect with people I see often
I was looking and feel like dogpatch and mission bay really hit on these but would love to hear from locals and what not. Also was considering maybe living on the outskirts and taking public transit into the city for work, but I think for the social aspect city might be better for me.
