I knew the said price was too good to be true, but I just wanted to spread awareness that if you stumble across this seller - distributing Kindles at a very low price, report them immediately. Do not fall on their dirty tricks (and stop victim blaming those people who already fell for the scam!)

I couldn't help myself from what happened yesterday when I saw a Reddit user selling "unsealed Kindle Matchas" for 5,000 PHP. The price was already sketchy as fuck. Fortunately, it didn't take long before they account on Carousell got suspended, but I am certain they were able to snag some money from these victims.

Anyways, I saw this offer before with the same picture, and they were trying to sell it for ₱3,000. Now they created another account and decided to lower it for ₱2,700. These scammers must be very starving for money.

I almost fell into this scam when I was trying to find a Kindle that fits my budget. Until I stumbled across one of their post. I didn't hesitate to make an offer so I did it and waited. And waited. It didn’t take long for the seller to reply to my inquiries. In fact, they assured me that the shipping was free. Furthermore, they told me we can meet up on the designated place, but they were in the province, and I was in Manila so I had no choice but to make a transaction and hope the unit will be delivered straight to my door. Unfortunately, the free shipping was already a red flag. But during that time, I was so desperate to buy that Kindle. Luckily I was too lazy to get up my lazy ass to cash-in, because little did I know, I would only end up getting scammed by this freak.

Each book is sold for 150 PHP.
