Spectators / Broken Player Numbers in Server Menu
Hello all,
I have repeatedly encounted an unusual issue whereby the player numbers belonging to factions in a game rarely (if ever) match the number of players in the server, as listed in the main server menu.
For example, this evening I saw 136/150 players in an EU server.
I joined the game and saw that the actual numbers were 43 vs 46 for a total of 89 players actually playing the game.
I then quit back to the main menu and saw that it said there were 134/150 players in the server. I rejoined and the factions were 42 vs 45 (total 87 players).
The game was quite even, as were the respective faction numbers, so it does not seem to be a one-sided rage-quit thing as you see in some games where one team is getting massacred.
So, I am wondering whether there are really 45-50 people spectating in the server, and not playing? Are the player numbers in the main server list inaccurate? Are the numbers per factions not taking into account those who are dead and awaiting respawn?
