How to break in hard shoes?

I just got a new pair of hard shoes (used, but lightly worn). They're quite stiff, especially in the heel, so I'm wondering how to break them in to make them more comfortable. They fit fine otherwise, they just dig into the back of my foot because of how stiff they are. Tips?

Odd Pieces - Snack Attack Part 2

Don't swipe if you don't want to see the finished puzzle!

Here is my little review on Snack Attack Part 2. For context I found this at a thrift store, all the pieces where there and was in practically brand new condition. Lucky considering how pricy these are new. This was the first Odd Pieces puzzle I've done, but the second picture-on-box-doesn't-match style puzzle. Here are my thoughts:

  • The pieces were thick and good quality, with a matte finish that was nice to touch.
  • It was hard to move large clumps of pieces because they don't fit together super tightly. Good for disassembling, but I couldn't really pick up a section of multiple pieces without it falling apart, which is a bit annoying in the beginning.
  • The puzzle image was a bit tricky due to all the small details and not a lot of areas with the same pattern. As well, the image you see on the box is a bit different than the completed puzzle, so you can't always rely on the box image as a guide.
  • The story was cute, but nothing too crazy. It was fun to notice all the little details that had changed while puzzling, though.
  • The pieces weren't odd, for the most part. In the center, there are two pieces shaped like their logo, the O and D. Around them, there's maybe five or so other "odd" pieces to accomodate. Other than that, all the pieces in the puzzle are completely normal shaped.
  • I found it confusing how the puzzle was considered "part two." When I found it at the thrift store, I debated even buying it because I thought I might need the part one for additional context. Turns out you don't, do I feel like that use of words is a little... Odd ;)

Overall, if you have the money to spend and are up for a bit of a unique, slightly more challenging puzzle, I think it's worth it! It comes with a poster and two envelopes for before and after you finish, so you're not just getting the puzzle. I also found the art style and all the little details really cute :)
