This is my first and only cactus. I received this plant from my dad so it’s REALLY special to me. I’d love to propagate the tall growth, but I’m so nervous on doing it right.

I’ve propped some other growths, but my friend broke them in half and they haven’t been the same since (yes, I’m still mad lol).

The big new growth has been popping off!! It showed up approximately 2 months ago and is still growing. For having these cacti about 6 years, I’m so grateful!! The yellow one has been present for about a year and hasn’t grown any more since.

I also don’t understand why they’re dried on top?? They’re still alive and producing babies so I’m not too worried.. but I want to ensure it doesn’t happen to these new growths.

Any advice is appreciated!!!! I’ve been diligent in ensuring I do not over water. I put it on my island so I can ensure I water it enough though.

BTW- sorry for the background. I just moved into a new apartment!!
