Recommendations similar to Labor Days era Aes

Ever since I listened to Labor Days for the first time, it felt eerily familiar. Like I had heard it at least a couple of times in passing. However, since I was too young back then and my parents definitely weren’t listening to underground hiphop, I think it was probably just the style that felt familiar. Especially because, even though it felt familiar, I didn’t recognize any specific songs.

My question is: Can you recommend some albums by other artists that have a similar sound and feel?

Could someone answer a couple of questions about Korean history?

I just finished my six week trip to South Korea and absolutely loved it. History museums however left me with a couple of questions:

  1. I learned that after the second world war Korea was already split in two because of "disagreements" between the Soviet Union and the USA. Were Korean families already seperated then or were there possibilities to travel pre Korea war?

  2. Was the Korean border that was established after the korean war the same as in between world war two and Korean war?

  3. How did Joseon fall into the hands of the Japanese? I know that the Japanese won the Russo-Japanese war and thus became the strongest force in the area. But anywhere I look it just says that Joseon fell into the hands of the Japanese afterwards with no explanation as to what happened. Did they threaten Joseon with a war? Was there a war?

  4. Could someone tell me a little bit more about the history of Bangjja? Unfortunetly the articles I found online are quite short and I would like to learn a bit more as I didn't manage to visit the Bangjja museum in Daegu.
