Light, mostly one-screen strategy games with short campaigns that are relatively easy to learn. I played the new Defender of the Crown remake (originally from 1986), but unfortunately that ended up being too basic, and I’m kind of done with it already.

I do play board games like Cyclades, Kemet, and Mare Nostrum Empires, but a single player video game in a similar vein with a campaign would be cool to find.

Curious to hear others’ experiences. I’m thinking of replaying the game again after six years since my last playthrough, but I don’t know if playing it on a higher difficulty is a better experience. What would you compare the difficulty to?
