1127 Money Owed Letter
Anyone else who lives out of state get a letter stating that they now owe money or are getting less of a refund on their 1127 filing? Apparently this is due to STAR credit eligibility and has been a thing since 2016 but they decided just now to notice it. They seem to only care about collecting this year and nothing in the past. Accountant software doesn’t even account for this rule. Something seems…off about this?
