Why can’t I get this guy out of my head?
I was talking to this guy for about 2–3 weeks and everything was going really well. We were planning to meet, but it didn’t work out, and he even said we could meet another time. We kept talking for another week and everything seemed completely normal.
Then, completely out of nowhere, he texted me saying, “I think it’s better for both of us to stop talking.” I asked him why, but he wouldn’t explain. I told him I wasn’t going to force him to keep talking to me, and then he deleted me.
We originally knew each other through mutual friends, but we didn’t really know each other personally. We actually started talking after we interacted on Instagram.
There’s also a small situation with one of my friends who had a crush on him, but he told me he wasn’t interested in her, so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.
It’s been 2 days since we stopped talking, and I genuinely can’t stop thinking about him. I’ve even talked to multiple guys after him, but honestly, it hasn’t helped at all. I still think about him.
I know it hasn’t been that long, but I just don’t understand how someone can go from everything being fine to suddenly wanting nothing to do with you. I keep wondering what changed or if I did something wrong. Know i’m thinking to text him and ask him but idk.
Update: I called my friend and found out he apparently has a history of talking to girls on and off. He also had an ex he never mentioned to me. Apparently, he took her virginity, and she’s still kind of obsessed with him. He apparently still texts her sometimes, even though he doesn’t really care about her.
My friend also said he tends to text girls when he has no one else to talk to, which honestly gave me the biggest ick. I’m not going to text him first and I’m just going to move on.
If he texts me again just to see if I’m still available, I’m not giving him what he wants. I honestly think there might’ve been another girl too, which could explain why he suddenly stopped talking to me.
