Man I regret getting this
I wish I had found this group BEFORE getting the mirena and I would’ve called my doctor to cancel my appointment. I got it placed on 5/4/26 and I’ve had cramps that vary from not so terrible to oh my god how am I still alive they’re so bad every single day since I got it put in. I’ve been bleeding every single day since it’s been put in too which that varies in lightness/heaviness as well. I got this to help with my heavy periods and bad cramping and I honestly think I’d rather deal with that once a month than wait who knows how long it’ll take to get to the point of not having to deal with periods anymore if this actually does what my doctor claims it’ll do and eliminates them. I see her again in a week for my yearly exam and there’s a part of me that just might tell her to pull the darn thing out.
I went into this with high hopes and I think that was my first mistake. Sorry, I’m a little irritated at the moment but based on other posts I’ve read this thing also causes some angry mood swings so that’s another fun thing to look forward too. (If I keep it)
