Advice on clients who ghost you after getting their designs
Does it give me the right to be frustrated and angry if a client agreed to proceed with the rest of the renders for the renovation of their home only to ghost you after every thing is laid out and ready for implementation?
So back story, my client who inquired with us 2 years ago decided on January that she wanted to move forward with the renovation of her family home. We were happy to provide her with an estimate and initial designs and in return, liked our designs but requested to tweak it a little according to what she wants and finally told me they were determined to have me as their contactor. Eventually, she decided that she wanted to just add a second floor to their bungalow home (and we all know how complicated this is considering it is an old house) that I had to assign an architect solely for this project. This went on for 2 months of site visits, meetings, and adjustments of designs and BOQ.
I feel like I was deceived and ended up at a loss with all the time, effort, and money I invested in their project, and I at least want to get something out of it if I still can.
