O2 sensor replacement
Back story: 9 months ago had O2 sensors replaced. Since then CEL has come on and very intermittently. Took it back in and they said plugs and coil pack #6. We replaced these on our own. CEL still coming on. Nailed it down to it happening after getting gas, sometimes getting low on gas, and most recently started shuttering while I was driving. Took back to the dealership and they are saying O2 sensors need to be replaced because they are non OEM O2 sensors. And they wanted $900 to replace these two. Any one heard of this? Do the O2 sensors need to be OEM? I think the first time they were replaced they were purchased from Autozone.
I’m still not 100% convinced it’s this. I was thinking purge valve.
In March the codes that it was throwing were:
P0304, P0305, P0316, P2197
I didn’t ask what codes it was pulling this time. The ford apps usually either tells me a misfire or a fault has occurred when the CEL comes on.
Any through or advice is appreciated!
