Water for birds and other wildlife

Since it has not rained for such a long time and everything is so dry, we have taken to putting saucers of water outside our flat, and have been really pleased by the number of birds and insects that we have seen making good use of it. ( Recommended by https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/actions/help-wildlife-hot-weather )

Any other ideas on how to help wildlife in Cheltenham during this very dry time are very welcome.

Gails

I am a big fan of our independent bakeries - like Artisan bakery and My Pastalicious - and I was curious if the Gails would be tough competition for them. My first impression was - having had one cake and a coffee - that the staff are excellent, the coffee ok, the cake selection good: but the ambience inside was far too loud and cafeteria-like, and the seating too uncomfortable to be enjoyable. So I think they are safe.
