Console saying open tray with a disc inside

Whenever I put a game inside my console it doesn’t recognise it and just says open tray

Disc drive making weird noise

I’m wondering if the laser is dead came here just for some reassurance I have took it apart to fix it not ejecting I don’t know if I messed something when doing that
