[California] Employer question about unemployment for employee who only worked a few days.
I’m a small business owner in California. I hired someone who worked 21 hours. I let her go when it was clear she wasn’t able to do the job. She filed for unemployment and was approved because she wasn’t let go for willful misconduct. Will I have to pay unemployment for her? I have no problem paying unemployment? I’ve helped employees with the process in the past. But it seems like a stretch to pay unemployment for someone who barely worked.
