I’m repadding the VRM heatsink on my Gigabyte AORUS X870I.
The gray pad is obviously a thermal pad, but what about the long black strip? Is it also a thermal pad or just insulating foam?
Do you know the original thickness and thermal conductivity of both the gray pad and the black strip?

And what is the best replacement option?
