So I wanted to make a Princess Mononoke cosplay because I almost have everything planned except for the cape. I found some tutorials and I cant figure out if sewing the edges of the fur is optional or not. I never sewed anything but like idk it kinda seems optional for some reason. Also a sewing machine is expensive. I could sew by hand but I wanted to ask someone if its worth the time before doing it because im aware it will take time. So is it optional or should i sew by hand?
