Nectarine Tree Pruning
Hello all, I have two small white flesh nectarine plants that I have grown since the pandemic. This has been the first year they have flowered. A lot of fruit buds in spring and then nearly all of them dropped minus two of them. I understand there is a lot of foliage and that is why a lot of fruit making energy went into maintaining and prioritising the branches and leaves. I want to prune these bad boys severely so the fruits are abundant next year. I've just always been scared to in the past as it took so long for these babies to grow. I have my new shears and I am ready now. Please assist me!
- Despite the plant size, they are not root bound to their pots. There are a few inches of free space from all sides. I want to drastically down size the plant itself via pruning so I don't think I will need to repot.
- I am happy to effectively halve the size of these plants. I just don't know how to go about it. Where do I trim? How much? When? All in one go or spaced out over weeks? I do want them both to have a consistent shape.
- I usually use my liquid seaweed fertiliser weekly, although I stopped at the beginning of summer as AI advised against it as it would create more leaves that would hinder fruit growth. Do I continue the fertiliser post pruning?
Please advise me 🙂

How to repair damage and discolouration from HS?
MY HS STORY

I had suffered from daily active HS on my nape from October 2017 until January 2026. In that time, a plethora of drugs and two surgeries have wreaked havoc on my neck area. And although it is now calm and no longer active (🎉🎉🎉) I still find myself wishing I could make the appearance as close to as it was pre-HS. I saw a new dermatologist today who said there was nothing she could prescribe me. And that all she could advise was sunscreen. So here I am, reaching out to Reddit to see if my fellow sufferers can enlighten me.

CURRENT ROUTINE

I am currently exfoliating weekly in the shower. Using a sugar body scrub. Kojic acid soap while showering. Glycolic acid post shower followed by Vitamin C cream afterwards. And sunscreen and loose clothing. This routine has worked wonders for my armpits and they have lightened exponentially. But I am not seeing the same effectiveness on my neck. There was NO darkening of the nape prior to HS. Please advise me on what else I can do?

As for my HS remission, I ultimately credit it to oral vitamins I began taking at the end of December last year. Ask away if curious!
How to preemptively stop boils forming?
Has anyone devised any tricks or tips to stop a HS boil from gaining shape and taking form? I'm talking about when you can feel the tightness/swelling/discomfort but a boil has not yet formed but you know it will in time. I am not talking about expediting the boil growing or incurring a draining process. But avoiding it altogether.
Does anyone have any success stories of eliminating a flare up in its tracks? Please share 😊
