What is your best advice to new, inexperienced duck owners?

Hi! My husband recently brought home a pair of ducklings (11 days old atp). He is a former farm kid with minimal duck experience (but enough to feel confident). He is a general contractor and his thought process seems to have been "wife wants ducks, we can accommodate ducks, I'll buy ducks", and his focus I think, is directed mostly at building the enclosures the babies will move into once they're bigger. This is all fine- I'm a SAHM right now and can provide the primary care of the ducklings. I've never had ducks- or any farm animal- before, however, and I'm the type of person that feels best when I've had time to do in-depth research. So I wanted to ask what experienced duck owners think I should know! This is obviously not the only way I'm sourcing info but I want to ensure I do everything I can to give them the healthiest, best lives possible. We love them very much and they deserve the best care I'm able to give them. *IMPORTANT CONTEXT: we live in central Alaska, where it frequently reaches -40f every winter. They're currently inside our home while so young and while my husband builds them appropriate outdoor and indoor enclosures. Any advice related to environmental conditions is greatly appreciated as well.*
