I enrolled in a program that was never part of my initial priorities, believing that shifting to my desired course after a year would be attainable.

I grew complacent with the assumption that maintaining Dean’s List standing would be enough to secure a successful shift. Because of this, I pursued a program that was ultimately misaligned with my actual interests and aspirations. However, as time progressed, I realized that the process was far more complex and uncertain than I had anticipated. While shifting remains a possibility, it is never guaranteed, especially considering that certain colleges may choose not to open available slots for shiftees.
