Reflective on my life

(I just wanted to put it in words) I’m still in my crappy retail job, trying to find something new. I’ve started applying to temp agencies and just seeing what my options are.

I’m also more open to relationships now, so I want to go to my first Pride and meet people, and maybe go out to bars more too. The twist to this is I don't like going downtown but that's where the events are.

I’m starting to make friends again, but seeing friends outside of school is hard as an adult, especially when everyone has their own lives going on.

I guess I’m just hoping things start falling into place soon, especially a job, because I want to move out eventually. It feels like so many things just require money right now

How are you guys getting office jobs right now?

Hello, I’m trying to get out of retail and move into some kind of 9–5 office job.

I know the job market is really competitive right now, and I’ve been told a couple of times that companies aren’t willing to train people who don’t already have experience.

For those of you who successfully made the switch, how did you do it? What roles did you apply for or what helped you get your foot in the door?
