I've been really struggling to find a job. I've been unemployed for about 8 months, but I've also been in grad school so I wasn't too worried about it. I've just finished my program and I've ramped up the job search significantly.
I'm probably 600 applications deep (rookie numbers, I know) and haven't had too much luck.
There's a local defense contractor that has a part-time security guard role that requires a clearance. I know people at the company and I think it would be significantly easier to get that job and subsequently, get a secret level clearance through them.
Will finding a clearance level job be much easier than finding a job in the public sector? I know there's significantly less people competing for those jobs, but with a clearance could I expect to find a job faster?
I live in a fairly small town. We no joke have at least 10 within miles of each other, but the part that blows my mind is MORE KEEP OPENING.
They just have Skills machines and sell vape/tobacco products. How are they all able to sustain themselves?
We have a local screenprinter, but the quality is bad and the pricing is insane. I’ve seen promos from companies online doing 100 shirts for $3.95 each. Is the quality good?
I’ve been getting a lot of advertisements for different businesses that will print shirts for $3.50 or some other really cheap rate if you order 100 shirts or more. I’m paying $15-$20 a shirt locally and I would be very happy to continue supporting locally, which is my very strong preference, but the quality is normally pretty bad.
My concern with these online screen printers is going to be with the quality.
I was wondering if anyone has tried any of these services out and if they were happy with the experience? I’d also be curious to know which street printers you’ve tried.
Would love to hear some success stories and gather insight into what strategies or tips people think have helped them land a new job.
