Any ideas? The hand icon is over the spinous process shows a calcification on the end of it. And the other three spinous processes above it, making it really weird. Nothing anywhere else.
I just finished a hike in Griffith Park. In
Cedar Grove I noticed a series of spray painted trees. Painted with orange construction spray paint.
My guess is that the trees are scheduled to be cut down? At first glance you might think they were dead or unhealthy trees. Well, there are one or two that seem this way.
However, there are three or four that appear perfectly healthy, with no dead branches or appearance of disease and their trunks are tagged in the spray paint. Here’s the kicker, they are all in a row.
In addition, there are spray painted irrigation features along the line of trees. That says to me a project is afoot.
So, does this mean four healthy trees are to be sacrificed for infrastructure projects? Please say it’s not so. One of the trees is a Coast Live Oak. I hope whoever is in charge has their permits in order. Rest assured, if that tree comes down, I will be the biggest thorn in the side that shot-caller, or whoever gave the order to destroy perfect trees in the People’s Park.
I’d be so happy if I were wrong. Somebody please assuage my worry. What is going on up there?
