Seriously fuck Jiomart

Seriously fuck Jiomart

So Jiomart recently started charging ₹30 for home delivery, and I figured, fine—if I need something urgently, I'll pay it.

All I actually wanted was a loaf of bread.

But because of the minimum order requirement, I had to add a Surf Excel detergent powder just to qualify for delivery. The detergent wasn't even my primary purchase—it was just filler so I could get the bread delivered.

And then comes the absolute joke.

The store marks the bread as "Out of Stock" and cancels it.

What do they deliver instead? Only the detergent.

To make things worse, Jiomart says they'll refund only the ₹37.80 for the cancelled bread, but the ₹30 delivery charge stays with them.

So let me get this straight:

I paid a delivery fee mainly to get bread delivered.

Jiomart failed to deliver the one item I actually needed.

They still kept the delivery charge.

I ended up with a packet of detergent that I only added to meet their minimum order requirement.

How is it fair to charge customers for a delivery when the service you paid for wasn't actually fulfilled? If the essential item is cancelled by the store, the least you should do is refund the delivery fee as well.

This feels less like customer service and more like making customers pay for Jiomart's inventory problems.

Absolutely disappointing experience. If you're going to charge for home delivery, at least have the decency to refund that charge when you fail to deliver the customer's primary item.

Do better, Jiomart.
