What is your dream scrub cap design (in terms of the fabric pattern)? It be something you already own or a design you can’t find, but wish it existed.

Common or Thick-billed Murre?

My initial guess is a Thick-billed Murre, but I’m not feeling super confident haha.

Taken in Newfoundland, Canada

(Re-post since the photo wasn’t with my initial post)

Tattoo tipping?

I am getting a tattoo in Newfoundland soon and I’m wondering if it’s customary to tip your tattoo artists here and if so, how much?
Thanks!

Mentorship in contracts?

New grad vet here in contract negotiations for my first job post graduation. The contract is for a small animal GP position. For the people that didn't work at clinics with formal mentorship programs (like some of the corporate new grad ones), did you have anything involving mentorship in your contract? If so, what? If you didn't, what did you wish you had added in?

Welcoming any discussion regarding mentorship in contract negotiations , please!!

Bird Academy Courses- Cornell lab

I have the ‘Handbook of Bird Biology’ book ordered, I am wondering if those of you who have taken the “Comprehensive Bird Biology” course recommend taking it, or if reading through the book on my own be just as beneficial? For context, I am a newly graduated vet, so understanding the jargon and science aspect of the book shouldn’t be a problem, just wondering if the course goes beyond that.

Additionally, I’m looking for opinions on the other courses they offer (I’ve done the eBird free course), and if people recommend or don’t recommend certain ones! I love birding and amateur bird photography as a hobby and have significant experience with wildlife rehabilitation, so I am interested in what people think is worth trying :)

Midland Hawthorn?

Taken in Newfoundland, Canada today, so not in bloom yet.

Is this a midland hawthorn? Assuming this is not native and was purchased and planted here at some point.
